Ernest Matthiesen

Ernest J Matthiesen born December 15th, 1934. He has two sisters Mary and Barbara. Graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1953.

Ernest served in the Navy from 1954-1958 aboard the USS Davis and USS Alstead. Married Rosemary Hiser, Sept 6th, 1958. Had 5 children, Steven (passed shortly after birth), Cynthia, Julie, Lisa, and Barbara. 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several others have come since his passing.

Worked for the City of Grand Island as a lineman for 38 years. After retiring he joined a Black Powder group, the Two Brigade as Two Slow. Passed away February 14th, 2015 at the age of 80.
