Fredrick S. Denney was born in Nashville, TN in 1942 and graduated from East Tennessee State University where he pitched for the baseball team. He was in ROTC his last year in college, and he served in the US Army as a Second, and then later, First Lieutenant from 1965 to 1967. He was stationed in Korea for one year with a Hawk missile battery. He married Judith Tucker in 1966 and, after an honorable discharge from the Army, he settled briefly in East Tennessee.
He and Judy moved to the ranchland in Central Texas in 1973 and raised four children while caring for countless foster children. Fredrick passed in September 2024 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. Fredrick was loved by his children and grandchildren and was always an active member of his community, volunteering many hours with the local sheriff's department in Victim's Assistance.
