Larry Bagwell

Larry Bagwell entered the US Army June 1971. He attended Basic and AIT training at Fort Ord, Monterey, CA. As part of the 82^nd airborne, 5^thspecial forces. Was stationed in Fort Benning, GA for parachute training. Reported to Oakland, CA to ship out last minute for replacements for the 101^st Airborne. He left in 24 hours to an unknown location. Larry jumped from a plane into north Vietnam. He was taken into captivity for 9 months In the Quang Tri Province. After escaping captivity, he was stationed in Germany and promoted to an E5 Sargent. He was honorably discharged in 1975.

Larry worked as a truck driver in California, before moving to Nebraska in1985. He has 3 sons Josh, Casey, and Dakota. 2 daughters Elena and Sherry. Later marrying Jacki and adding 2 bonus sons, Taylor and Trevor and two bonus daughters Jazmine and Kailena. He also enjoys his time with 16 grandchildren after recently retiring from truck driving at Sunrise Express.
