Larry Obermiller

Larry H. Obermiller, born August 3, 1932 in Dannebrog, NE to Emil and Anna (Hagmann) Obermiller, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1953, serving as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War and earning an honorable discharge as Airman First Class in 1956.

He married Arlene Steinbach on June 6, 1959; they have six children, 15 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. The couple purchased a Howard County farmstead in 1969, where Larry lived until age 80 before relocating to Grand Island.

He was a member of the Dannebrog American Legion and Platte-Duetsche and enjoyed playing sheepshead.

Larry passed away January 28th, 2026.
