Christopher Meedel

CWO4 Meedel graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1993. He enlisted in The U.S. Coast Guard and attended recruit trainingin Cape May, NJ. He was assigned to the USCGC ACTIVE in Port Angeles, WA., and also assigned to the USCGC JARVIS in Honolulu, HI.
Other assignments included the Maritime Intelligence Center in Miami, FL; the USCGC VIGILANT, and the U.S. Northern Command, in Colorado Springs, CO
Meedel was assigned to the Coast Guard Investigative Service. He received training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
After his commission, he was transferred to Alameda, CA, where he conducted military criminal investigations involving violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He went to Alexandria, VA, where he worked electronic crimes in support of the U.S. Coast Guard and missions world-wide.
In December 2022, Meedel retired with over 29 years of military service. He currently is with the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C.
