Jerome Wooden

Jerome was born in Grand Island in 1966, then moved to California for a few years as a child. He returned to Cairo, NE to complete high school at Centura School, where he graduated in 1985.
On July 7th, 1986, he joined the US Navy and attended bootcamp in San Diego, CA. After boot camp he went to Millington, TN to attend aviation structural mechanic “A” School. Upon completion of aircraft maintenance training, he had orders to attack Squadron VA-147 while aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, then the USS Nimitz.
Jerome’s land-based air station at NAS Le Moore, CA. He performed maintenance on A7-E Corsair Aircraft and on the F-18C Fighter Jet.
In 1990, Jerome met and married the love of his life, Natalie. He was later honorably discharged in 1991.
