John Anderson

John Anderson was born in Sioux City, IA; moved to Grand Island in 1986 when his father was promoted to Sergeant with the Nebraska State Patrol. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1990.

John's military active career was from July 1991 to June 2007 as a Professional Firefighter and EMT. He received several commendation medals and the Southwest Asia Campaign Medal. He was also in Honor Guard member and played taps.

After Basic Training at Lackland AFB, John's duty stations were RAF Alconbury England; Laughlin Del Rio, TX; Minot, ND; Goodfellow SanAngelo, TX; Elgin AFB Fort Walton Beach, FL.

John's deployments were Moron, Spain; Escondido Village Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Ali AlSalam and Camp Doha, Kuwait; Bahrain; Romania.
