Keith Janssen was born in 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Randolph, Nebraska, in 1962. Shortly after, Keith enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War.
Upon returning to the States, Keith met Brenda, the love of his life, while stationed in Georgia. The two married in 1965 and later returned to Nebraska with their family. Together, Keith and Brenda raised five children: Dee, Mike, Angela, Calvin, and Kristi. They are also blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In 1981, Keith and Brenda settled near Minden, Nebraska, where Keith operated Janssen Carpet Service for many years.
In 1995, they moved to the Fullerton/Palmer area, where Keith worked as a farmhand. After retiring, Keith and Brenda relocated to Grand Island. A true jack of all trades, Keith has worked as a mechanic, carpenter, roofer, farmer, and cowherder. He’s also known as an animal whisperer with a natural gift for connecting with animals.
Even in retirement, Keith stays active, remodeling homes and diving into various projects. These days, he enjoys helping his friend Rocke with remodel projects and cherishing time spent with his children and grandchildren.
