Colt Bonser

Sergeant Colt Bonser was born November 10, 1999 in Grand Island NE to Mark & Michquel Bonser. He attended GI Public Schools through his 5th grade year, then his family moved to Central City NE.

 Colt enlisted into the Marine Corps July 2018. graduating from Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego, CA. He left for MOS training in 29 Palms CA for Low Altitude Air Defense Basic Course, graduating April 2019. Then he reported to 2nd LAAD Battalion, Bravo Battery, Cherry Point, North Carolina. In January 2023 he was promoted to Sergeant. While stationed at Cherry Point, Colt filled the role of Position Safety Officer for the conduct of 23 live ranges, including a Stinger Simulator range, eight machine gun ranges, two FIM-92 Stinger live fire ranges & one grenade range, instructing and supervising 1050 Marines without incident. 

In May 2024, Colt reported to 1st LAAD Battalion, Mike Battery, KaneoheBay, Hawaii. Colt's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award, the Outstanding Voluntary Service Medal and two Certificate of Commendations. 

Colt is married to Samantha McCarthy. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, jeeping in the mountains of Hawaii, hiking and enjoying island life with their 2 German Shepherds, Frank & Milo.
