Jon Hoeser honorably served in the United States Army from 2013 to 2016 as an Infantryman. After graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 2013, he began his military journey at Fort Benning, Georgia, completing rigorous basic training. He was then stationed at Fort Drum, New York, serving with the 10th Mountain Division, a unit renowned for its resilience and operational excellence.
During his service, Jon exemplified courage, dedication, and commitment, earning the respect of his peers and superiors. Unfortunately, Jon’s military career was cut short due to a medical condition incurred during his service. This condition ultimately claimed his life on December 18, 2023, at the age of 29.
Despite these challenges, Jon’s unwavering strength and perseverance left a lasting impact on those who knew him. Jon was laid to rest with honor at the Omaha National Cemetery. Beyond his military career, he was dedicated to personal growth and education.
He attended Creighton University, earning a graduate certificate in Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance in August 2023. Jon’s life, though tragically short, was defined by service, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. His memory continues to inspire and honor his legacy.
