Marvin Wemhoff was born January 7, 1943 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Severin and Ann Wemhoff, he was one of nine children. Marvin graduated from Humphrey St. Francis High School and went on to trade school in Omaha to be an auto mechanic.

In 1968 Marvin married his sweetheart, Linda Greisen.  Shortly after being married Marvin and Linda made their way to Colorado Springs until he was deployed to Vietnam.  Marvin was part of the 295th Company of the Army Reserve attached to the 336 Ordnance Battalion.  He served active duty in ChuLai, PhuBie, and QuangTri.

Upon returning home from Vietnam, Marvin and Linda made their home in Grand Island where Marvin worked for New Holland.  Marvin had a long career there, giving them 35 years of dedicated service.  After retiring from there, he worked 15 years at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church as their maintenance and MacGuyver guy!

Marvin and Linda had 2 children, John (Cindy) and Angela (Dave McDermott) and were even more blessed by 6 grandchildren: Jack, Katie and Addison Wemhoff, and Sam, Luke, and Henry McDermott.  Marvin loves to fish and spend time with family and friends.  He’s also one of the hardest working people we know!!
